Following the decision by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to zone the office of its National Chairman to the North, the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and News Media, Bashir Ahmad on believes this development may hurt Atiku Abubakar chances of running for President in 2023.
Reacting to the development in a post via his verified Facebook page, Bashir described the development as a sign of democracy, adding that such a move may cripple Atiku Abubakar, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s presidential ambitions in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The post reads, “So the opposition party, PDP has zoned its national chairman to the North, this recent development may rule out the possibility of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and others from the region from running for president under the party in 2023.
